Board Minutes – May 22, 2019

MEETING MINUTES…WHITEHALL BOARD OF EDUCATION…May 22nd, 2019

The April 22nd meeting of the Whitehall Board of Education was held at Whitehall Memorial Elementary Balcony George Everson called the meeting to order at 8pm. Roll was called, and a quorum established.

Other Board members present: Jason Molis, Byron Fields, Julie Dokkestul, Kristen Carroll, and Dan Koxlien.  Absent: Leah A.W. Johnson.

Others present: District Manager, Megan Densmore; Superintendent/9-12 Principal; Mike Beighley, and Abby Sacia – Trempealeau County Times Reporter (via telephone).

Fields moved to approve vouchers as presented. Molis seconded. Aye – All members. Motion carried.

Koxlien motioned to Approve:

  1. Approve minutes of April 22nd, 2019 Regular Meeting
  2. Approve minutes of April 22nd, 2019 Executive Meeting
  3. Appoint Board members Byron Fields and Jason Molis to represent the Board at Graduation
  4. Approve contract of Carley Green Elementary Physical Education Teacher
  5. Approve 66.03 Agreement for At Risk Program
  6. Approve resignation of Brandon Jahr – 6th grade Teacher

Carroll seconded. Aye – All members. Motion carried.

Koxlien moved to approve the 2nd Reading of 443.5 – Student Use of Electronic Devices policy with no changes. Fields seconded. Aye – All Members. Motion carried.

Koxlien motioned to approve the board of education committees remain unchanged from 2018-2019.  Carroll Seconded.  Aye – All members.  Motion carried.

Molis motioned to approve the membership in WIAA for 2109-2020.  Fields Seconded.  Aye – All members.  Motion carried.

Carroll motioned to approve the open enrollment requests for 2019-2020.  Dokkestul Seconded.  Aye – All members.  Motion carried.

Fields motioned to approve the invitation to join and membership in Cluster A Consortium for 2019-2020.  Carroll Seconded.  Aye – All members.  Motion carried.

Carroll motioned to approve the Pape Bus Contract for 2019-2024.  Koxlien Seconded.  Aye – All members.  Motion carried.

The meeting was motioned to be adjourned by Everson at 8:18 PM.  Seconded by Molis.  Aye – All Members.
