The Whitehall School District Board of Education is seeking to fill a vacancy for a school board member. The temporary term for this position expires in April of 2017 whereby the appointed board member has until January 3, 2017 to declare candidacy to run in the April 4th election. Persons interested in this position are required to live in the Whitehall School District, and be a resident of the Town of Hale.
Candidates for this position should possess the capacity to work well with people individually or in a group and have the ability to listen, analyze, think clearly and creatively to be an effective, cohesive addition to the board. Personal integrity, a developed sense of community values and genuine concern for our district’s continued development, are also characteristics of a worthy candidate for our board.

Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest outlining pertinent qualifications/experience to: Whitehall School District, Attention: Board Vacancy, 19121 Hobson St., Whitehall, WI 54773. The deadline for letter of interest is 4:00 p.m. on August 12, 2016. Candidates should be prepared to attend a special board meeting on August 15, 2016 to discuss the position with the sitting Board of Education. Board approval of the selected candidate will take place at the regular board meeting scheduled for August 17, 2016.
